Australia Extends Post-Study Work Rights By Two Years For Foreign Students
Australia is developing post-study work entitlements for international students in skills-deficient industries.
Australia’s Education Minister Tweeted
Jason Clare tweeted, “Important statement from the floor of the Jobs & Skills Summit – we will extend post-study work entitlements by two years for international students graduating from Australian universities in areas of verifiable skills shortages. ”

The change in the rule will allow staying in Australia for –
- Bachelor’s Degree Graduates – 4 years (Current – 2 Years)
- Master’s Graduates – 5 years (Current – 3 Years)
- Ph.D. Holders – 6 years (Current – 4 Years)
The government is finally to announce the degrees involved, as per reports, nursing, engineering, and IT students will be the top focus areas.
