Jobs: Canada Opens Doors to Foreign Healthcare Workers

Nova Scotia, a province in Canada, is welcoming foreign healthcare workers through its Provincial Nominee Program (NSNP). The IGD stream of the program is designed to attract international students aspiring to become paramedics and pharmacy technicians to the province.

Foreign Healthcare Workers

In recent years, Nova Scotia has seen a significant increase in immigration, with over 7,000 new immigrants arriving each year. The province aims to address its economic and labor market needs by welcoming more immigrants through the Provincial Nominee Program and the Atlantic Immigration Pilot.

Job Openings

This initiative is driven by a high demand for healthcare professionals, as job vacancies in healthcare occupations have reached record levels. Eligible occupations for the IGD PNP stream include nurse aides, orderlies, patient service associates, early childhood educators, paramedics, pharmacy technicians, registered nurses, personal support workers, and healthcare aides.
