The agreement aims to protect the rights of UK citizens to work, study and access public services and benefits as they were before the new. Rules since Britain left the European Union. Each Member State requires that UK citizens apply for residency before the end of a specified transition period.

The June 30, 2021 deadline applies to UK citizens who were already resident in the following EU member states before January 1, 2021: Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, and Slovakia.
Different for each EU member state when applying for residency status.
Family members and partners are eligible to apply for residency in an EU member state. This includes spouse, registered partner, durable partner, dependent children, dependent grandchildren, dependent parents, and grandparents. Any relationship with the partners must begin before December 31, 2020.
Health care requirements are also set out in the evacuation agreement, but the process varies depending on each country.
The residency rights included in the evacuation agreement apply to UK citizens who are working, studying, or who have sufficient resources and proof of health insurance. This may also apply to family members of a person who meets these requirements.
The right of residence for UK citizens only applies to the country of residence in which they are living.
