Canada’s Express Entry Draws: July and August 2023 Highlights
Canada’s Express Entry draws in August 2023 saw two consecutive draws in the first week. The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 800 French-speaking candidates in the latest draw. To qualify, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 435.
Express Entry draws
In July 2023, IRCC conducted six Express Entry draws in the first two weeks. One of these draws, held on July 11-12, was category-based and focused on French-speaking candidates. A total of 3,800 individuals were invited, and the cut-off CRS score was 375. This score requirement was the lowest among all the Express Entry draws in 2023.

Throughout the month, IRCC continued its emphasis on French-speaking candidates. On July 7th, 2,300 invitations were issued to Express Entry candidates with strong French-speaking abilities, requiring a cut-off CRS score of 439.
1,500 Candidates Invited
Another category-based draw on July 6th targeted healthcare professionals. In this draw, 1,500 candidates were invited, and the cut-off CRS score was 463.
On July 5th, 500 candidates with work experience in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) occupations received invitations. The minimum CRS score requirement for this draw was set at 486.
Finally, on July 4th, Canada held an Express Entry draw inviting 700 candidates, with a minimum CRS score requirement of 511. This score was the highest among the July draws.
